Meet Wanda Luong, the founder and owner of Talent Consultant Group!
With over a decade of experience in recruiting, Wanda moved into the field in 2011 after working in the print industry for seven years. For the first five years of her recruiting career, she focused on agency recruiting and lending her support to hundreds of companies in Jacksonville, both in Office Professional and Manufacturing markets.
In 2016, Wanda was approached to serve as Talent Acquisition Manager for a mid-sized engineering and architecture firm. Here, she established a recruiting team, created and implemented processes and procedures, and elevated the company’s talent acquisition experience to new heights.
Then, in 2020, as the world grappled with the COVID pandemic, Wanda saw an opportunity to start her own venture – Talent Consultant Group (TCG). Her goal was to provide clients and candidates with an experience that prioritized the right fit for each role over metrics. Having spent years working for companies that were more interested in weekly resume submissions than the right ones, Wanda wanted to ensure that TCG focused on quality over quantity and a more personalized experience for both the client and candidate.
Thanks to this approach, TCG has enjoyed explosive growth over the last four years. The firm now has a team of three and supports clients in the A/E/C market and other fields across multiple states.
When she’s not busy connecting talented individuals with exciting career opportunities, Wanda cherishes her time with her family. She is a proud mother of three – her oldest daughter, Alexia, has been working as a recruiter at TCG for two years and Wanda loves seeing her grow professionally. Her younger children, Ayla and Jaxon, keep her on the go, and they all enjoy traveling, going to Disney, and swimming. Wanda’s husband, Phil, is also a small business owner and has been a staunch supporter of TCG and the team’s growth.

Meet Katy Duncan, Talent Acquisition Specialist at Talent Consultant Group!
Katy started her career in recruiting with TCG two years ago, learning the ins and outs of the business from Wanda. She feels very lucky to learn from such an experienced leader who puts the highest emphasis on finding the best fit for both the client and candidate.
Prior to TCG, Katy worked in the healthcare field for almost ten years. She was a Physical Therapist Assistant for many years, working in various settings such as hospitals, outpatient, and rehab care. During that time, Katy also began working in medical device sales, focusing on surgical and orthopedic sales.
In 2021 Katy began her greatest job yet, being a mother. After Sophia was born, she and her husband, Matt, decided it was best to shift her career focus and find something better suited for their family. Katy was very lucky to join the TCG family in 2022 and has not looked back. Her favorite part of working in healthcare was always the ability to help others and she has found the same fulfillment in assisting candidates in finding their dream career.
Outside of work, Katy loves enjoying the Florida sunshine, traveling, and cheering on her alma mater- Go Boilers! Katy is so proud to be a part of Talent Consultant Group and knows with their team continued success is inevitable.
Alexia Luong-Meraz

Meet Alexia Luong-Meraz, Talent Acquisition Specialist at Talent Consultant Group!
Alexia began her career with TCG in 2021 while pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of North Florida. Following graduation in 2022, her interest in HR and Marketing led her to joining the TCG team full-time as both a Recruiter and Social Media Manager.
Alexia is a native to Jacksonville, FL but has recently relocated to Virginia Beach, VA with her husband, dog, and cat.
While not working, Alexia spends a lot of time reading. She is also currently working through her 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training and hopes to be instructing by the end of the year!
Alexia loves working for Talent Consultant Group because it gives her the opportunity to help people better align themselves with their career goals.
